Meet Penny!
Penny the gym dog is a pit bull rescue from down south. She spent the first year and a half of her life tied up outside, neglected, and abused.
When the Sheriffs Department raided the compound she was on they found her emaciated and among over 100 dogs that were part of the fighting ring. After 6 months at a foster home Penny was put up for adoption by the Grateful Dog Animal Rescue. Alec snagged her. Despite her hard start Penny has an extremely sweet temperament and enjoys her duties as gym dog. She is gentle, curious, and a little cautious with new faces but can always be won over by a treat. We keep a jar in the lobby and there are no treat limits. When not in the gym Penny spends her days living with Alec on his houseboat or hiking.
